Cookie Policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses, and how to control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What's a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device when you visit. Cookies let a site remember things between visits — or let other companies, like analytics or advertising providers, recognise your browser across visits or sites.

What this site currently uses

We use Google AdSense to show advertising, and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Both set cookies — but only after you say that's OK. On your first visit, a banner at the bottom of the page asks you to accept or decline. Nothing from AdSense or Analytics loads until you click "Accept"; if you click "Necessary only," neither loads at all. You can change your mind any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

There's no login or shopping cart on this site, so beyond your consent choice itself (stored only in your browser, not on our servers) and whatever AdSense or Analytics sets once you've agreed to it, nothing else currently sets cookies here.

What each category actually does

Controlling cookies

Most browsers let you see, delete, and block cookies via their settings — the exact steps vary by browser, but look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in your browser's settings menu. Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the wider web work, though it won't stop you reading this site. You can also opt out of Google's advertising cookies specifically atadssettings.google.com, and out of Google Analytics via theGoogle Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page whenever the cookies we (or our advertising/analytics partners) use actually change. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
